(1) 24 x 18.25" hand colored glass transparency created by the Detroit Publishing Company of New York. This oversized glass plate transparency was taken on the north side of Deadwood Gulch looking south towards White Rocks. This is the second of four transparencies that connect together and form the south side of Deadwood Gulch. The focal point of the image is Deadwood's Main Street more specifically 611-613 Main Street Gem Theater and adjacent buildings. Railroad grade is in the background. the mountainous bench and Mount Moriah visible. The image is placed emulsion side up in a archival sink mat. The image is in three large pieces with spacers seperating the cracks. Emulsion is chipped around the broken edges. |
