Adz, Railroad
Adz is an ax like tool used to shave or smooth the top of wood railroad ties. This tool helped to provide an even surface for the tie plates. Adz 5.41 lbs. 33.25" in height. Adz is attached to wood handle. Adz head is 10" length and 1.25" width. Opposite end is flattened and flared out to 4". The flattened edge has been sharpened.

Ale Bottle
(1) complete dark green ale bottle. Inferior-slight kick up on base. Portion of base broken off w/ large spall. Neck-residue from sealing of bottle. No seams on body, neck, shoulder. No manufactures marks. 2ble ring bottle finish. Bottle was loosely placed in basement of the archives. Possibly part of Sherman Street excavation-Bottle lack provenience and written records.

Argonite
(1) mineral specimen entitled "ARGONITE VAR. FLOS FERRI." Mineral is off while in color with crystal along break line. Glued on the top of the specimen is paper label that reads "ARGONITE VAR. FLOS FERRI Black Hills, D.T. L. W. Stilwell, Deadwood, D.T." Portion of label, upper right corner torn and folded, due to pointed part of mineral. 1 of 2 minerals specimens purchased together by City Staff.
