(1) 4 x 6" color postcard titled "Ox Team" Image captures the annual Days of 76 parade. In foreground is a man being pulled by two oxen teams in front of the Olde Style, Saloon #10 (657 Main Street). A crowd of men and women line both sides of the street. In the background, one can see the Trading Post, Flame Theater, Olsens, The Prospector building signs. On the reverse printed "Deadwood, South Dakota "Days of 76 Parade". This annual 3-mile long event features the old ox team of yesteryear. One of the oldest parades of the Old West still in existance. |
